Laura Shapira Karet has been appointed as the company's Chief Executive Officer, and John Lucot as Giant Eagle's President and Chief Operating Officer. Ms. Karet succeeds her father David Shapira who has been CEO of Giant Eagle since 1980. He will transition into the position of Executive Chairman of Giant Eagle's Board of Directors.
