Albertsons Achieves Sustainability Milestone

<p><strong>Boise, ID</strong> - Four Albertsons stores in the greater Seattle area have achieved an important environmental sustainability accomplishment in the company's mission to attain zero waste classification, according to a press release. Albertsons, part of the SUPERVALU family of grocery stores, is boasting four locations that have reached a waste diversion rate from local landfills of over 90 percent. These Albertsons stores are - Kirkland/Juanita, Milton, Mountlake Terrace and Woodinville. The efforts have paid off, with the stores touting a combined 2.6 million pounds of waste diverted annually from landfills.
