Whole Foods’ Whole Planet Foundation® launches New App

<p><strong>Austin, TX</strong><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Whole Foods is doing its part to educate and inform through its green lifestyle mobile application “Make Change. Not Waste.” The app was created with BlueAvocado™ and rewards Whole Foods Market® shoppers with coupons for their green lifestyle choices and raises awareness and funds for alleviating poverty. The mobile application offers consumers badges and coupons from a catalog of 45 green lifestyle activities that include everything from recycling to biking to work, according to a press release. When app users complete ten green activities, customers can unlock one coupon from green brands including Nature’s Path, Alexia Foods, Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soaps, Stonyfield, Frontier Co-op and Organic Valley.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Shoppers can also donate part of the coupon value back to the foundation. The app is available through the Apple Store.
