<p><strong>Davis, CA</strong><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> The Center for Produce Safety's 2012 Produce Research Symposium is on the horizon. The event will be kicking off with a welcome from Stephen Patricio, Westside Produce, Center for Produce Safety, Advisory Chair on June 27, 2012. The symposium will include a host of industry related topics and 16 research projects completed by scientists from nine institutions in 11 states, according to a press release. Additionally, 36 projects will be featured in a poster session at the symposium. These projects review methods, objectives, results to date, and highlight their importance to industry.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Topics for the symposium include Food Safety Rationale with Tim York of the Markon Cooperative, Good Agricultural Practices featuring a host of industry members as speakers as well as panel members with Bob Whitaker of the Produce Marketing Association providing the role of Moderator.
