<p><strong>Cleveland, OH</strong><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Heat Seal’s Energy Smart Wrapper has logged 75 – 80% less electricity than old style stretch film overwrappers after being tested in markets across the U.S. This innovative technology is used in all departments, including produce, and saves Kroger over $1.5 million per year.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">The Energy Smart Wrapper’s patent pending, on-demand sealing technology ensures that energy is consumed by the film seal plate only when store associates need to seal a package. The unit thereby provides significant energy conservation by no longer requiring the seal plate to be energized throughout the day, yet still maintains levels of productivity comparable to old style wrappers.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Test units were installed in 2011 and monitored for six months, showing actual energy conservation of over 75% when compared to old style units.
