The new location will open its doors on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony 8:00 a.m. at 16904 Main Street in the Mid Town Square Shopping Center. The new Hesperia Supermarket is the largest and most modern of the bunch and will replace a smaller Stater Bros. located nearby at 17255 Main Street, which will close on July 31st. The location will also create an additional 50 local store level jobs, demonstrating Stater Bros.' commitment to the Hesperia community.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> In celebration of the Grand Opening, Stater Bros. Charities will be making donations to the Hesperia Police Department for the Police Activities League, the Sultana High School Band, who will also perform at the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, the Hesperia Library, and to Feed My Sheep community food pantry.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> The 56,586 sq. ft., state-of-the-art and environmentally friendly location is more than twice the size of the current Supermarket, boasting wider aisles and nearly double the amount of convenient parking spaces. Along with the usual amenities, the Stater Bros. location will also host many environmentally friendly practices that range from the addition of LED lighting in building signage and refrigerated display cases coupled with use of glass doors and curtains in refrigerated cases that reduce energy usage by 60%, to an Energy Management System that controls refrigeration, HVAC, Demand Response, and lighting.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Jack H.
