Net sales were $7.4 billion for the four weeks ended August 26, 2012—an eight percent increase compared to the similar period last year.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">For the first 52 weeks of its 53-week fiscal year ended August 26, 2012, the company shows net sales of $95.12 billion corresponding to a nine percent increase compared to the 52-week 2011 fiscal year.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Costco plans to open new warehouses in Taiwan and Korea and will end its fiscal year on September 2, 2012, with 608 warehouses in operation. According to a press release, 439 of these warehouses are in the U.S., 82 in Puerto Rico, 32 in Canada, 22 in Mexico, 13 in the UK, nine in Taiwan, eight in Korea, and three in Australia.
