<p><strong>Florida City, FL</strong><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">As Hurricane Sandy quickly approaches the upper East Coast, recent reports state top winds have reached at least 90 mph.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Though the heavy rains have recently passed Florida, Charles Porter, Director of Operations at Five Brothers Produce Inc., tells AndNowUKnow, the crops are not yet completely safe.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">“The rain might have done damage but right now we are still in a very high wind situation.”<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Porter also tells AndNowUKnow, though Five Brothers Produce has already started to notice the effects on their crops like squash, the company will not know the extent of the wind related damage for another week or until the storm moves further away from Florida.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">“We’ve seen a lot of damage; lots of plant breakage and lots of wind scar damage.”<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Though the weather in Florida has calmed down from just a few days ago, the company says all they can do is to wait for the storm to pass, to fully tend to its crops.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Reports state Hurricane Sandy could affect up to 60 million people and has caused storm-related power outages in seven states.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><a class="btn btn-sm btn-primary col-lg-12" style="white-space: normal;" href="http://www.floridalookup.com/Five-Broth-Homestead-biz689581.htm" target="_new"> Five Brothers Produce, Inc.</a></p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">
