When the storm approached earlier in the week, the Philadelphia market closed its doors on Monday around noon with New York closing its on Monday as well.</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>Tad Thompson, Business Development Manager, Philadelphia Wholesale Produce Market, tells AndNowUKnow, "Philadelphia really dodged a bullet as did the facility. There was no damage and the market reopened at 6 pm Tuesday evening." Sonny DiCrecchio, CEO, stayed at the market through the height of the storm and kept everything in order with the help of his refrigeration background and expertise.</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>Mr. Thompson noted that on Monday, to his surprise, customers were heading out in the wind and rain to stock up on produce.
