Inc. is in violation of the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act (PACA). The USDA has cited the Los Angeles, California, company for failure to pay $289,997.54 to eight sellers for 75 lots of produce.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">The violation means that Anshin Produce Co. Inc. cannot operate in the produce industry until Nov. 14, 2014, as a result of its actions. Anshin Produce Co. may reapply for a PACA license after this time frame. The USDA press release, states, "The company’s principals Peggi M. Ortiz, Jay L. McWaters, and Lisa M.
