After joining Mission Produce in late October 2013, Ben Barnard is now being welcomed as the company’s new Director of FDC Operations.
Jeremy Currier, Vice President of Distribution and Logistics, said, “We are excited to bring Ben onboard as his prior work experience will allow him to fulfill duties required to manage all eight Mission North American FDCs.”
Ben’s prior work experience includes working at Naturipe Farms in the product management division where he gained experience in fruit allocation, growing regions, and sales. He was responsible for the distribution of raspberries, blackberries, and strawberries throughout FDCs across the U.S., including imports from South America and Mexico, according to a press release.
After working at Naturipe for a few years, Ben accepted a position with Taylor Farms in 2011 as the Director of Operations for regional sourcing where his duties included transportation and cooler operations, as well as complete property, personnel, and asset management for all of the shipping facilities.
