Malena Produce is gearing up for the new year with new supply developments incoming. Along with this expansion, the company is excited to announce that 2013 was one of its best years yet with excellent crop quality and plentiful supply volume. Even during the peak holiday season, more than 20 SKUs are heading to its docks daily according to a press release, emphasizing the company’s success during the busiest time of the year.
Malena will offer tomatoes from Central America during the first quarter, while product availability will be expanded to 52 weeks. The company’s Baja production will also expand to other items, such as squash. And finally, U.S. sourcing of summer vegetables will add “local” to its product line-up.
