Coastline is continuing to prove its commitment to protect the environment with the completion of its solar power installation at its corporate office in Salinas, CA.

“Coastline is excited by this project because it is one of our most visible sustainability projects to date,” said Steve Henderson, president. “And I’m proud to say that our commitment to the environment goes back many, many years. These solar panels provide renewable energy, reduce greenhouse gases within the community and provide Coastline with energy cost savings – the classic win-win. We are an agriculturally-based business and are mindful of the environment and take measures to preserve and protect those resources.”
The system, which became operational in October 2013, is expected to reduce approximately 938 tons of CO2 emission over 25 years, according to a press release. In addition to the completion of the new solar power installation, the company has used LEED approved materials in the construction of its new building.

Congratulations on the successful completion of your solar power initiative, Coastline!
