The desert growing regions of California and Arizona are experiencing another round of cool weather that could bring the coldest temperatures of the season so far. Temperatures for the region are ranging from high 20’s to the low 30’s in some areas, according to Terry Snow’s Weather Advisory Service.

The Yuma area has many micro climate areas, growers tells us, and expect a range of around 32 degrees, with some areas subject to colder temps. Depending on the severity and duration of the frost each day, the cold could potentially blister or peel the epidermal layer on lettuce items.
