Kingston Fresh Adds Chilean Grapes to its Product Portfolio

Mon. January 27th, 2014 - by Sarah Hoxie

Kingston Fresh is welcoming Chilean Grapes into its growing imports portfolio. The company anticipates the first arrivals in early February into the Philadelphia ports – perfect to service its key customers within the Eastern seaboard and Midwest markets, according to a press release.

Ken Nabal, President, traveled to Chile this month to visit grower-partners and walk grape and citrus fields. “Surveying a lot of our grape production in the South over a four day period, I see a lot of fruit on vines with consistent bunches and excellent berry sizing,” said Nabal. “Weather has been near perfect and we are excited with what we’re seeing.”

David O. Kingston, CEO and Owner of Kingston Companies, says that the Chilean grape program will tie in with several other strategic sourcing opportunities on tap for 2014. The company had recently added a Guatemalan Cantaloupe, Honeydew and Watermelon program this past winter.

Congrats on this great new addition, Kingston!
