<p> Ahold USA is welcoming a new President to the ranks of one of its division supermarkets. Tom Lenkevich will be joining the Carlisle Giant/Martin’s division as President, effective March 4, 2014. He will be responsible for managing all aspects of the division, including sales, operating profits, organization, and people, according to a press release.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> “Tom’s decades of grocery experience combined with his Central Pennsylvanian roots makes him a great addition to the Giant/Martin’s division and the Ahold USA leadership team,” said James McCann, Chief Operating Officer of Ahold USA. McCann adds that Tom will strongly focus on “reinvesting in value and quality,” while preserving the local brand and offering customers an “omnichannel shopping experience to meet their needs both today and in the future.”<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Tom is a considerable retail veteran, most recently serving as Chief Operating Officer, Senior Vice President of Retail Operations for Save-A-Lot Food Stores. There, he was responsible for all aspects of retail operations, merchandising/marketing and procurement for its national and international chain of corporate and licensed stores.
