Zespri will be featuring SunGold, its newest variety of kiwifruit, at Booth #1030 at this year’s CPMA Convention. The new, juicy and golden-fleshed variety will also be submitted to CPMA’s New Product Award Competition, according to a press release.
“Zespri SunGold kiwifruit is a new, naturally-bred variety that’s been 10 years in development,” said Glen Arrowsmith, Global Marketing Manager in Organics. “With its delicious, sweet-tangy flavor, it’s a great example of Zespri’s leadership in kiwifruit through our culture of innovation, experienced growers, and sustainable growing practices.”
Along with SunGold, Zespri will be exhibiting several of its other innovations at the show, including the bio-spife kiwifruit eating utensil, compostable labels, and packaging that is recyclable and/or renewable. The company will also participate in CPMA’s educational program for children, The Freggie Program, by donating coloring books and stickers to the children’s loot bags in order to encourage them to eat well and live actively.
