The software and logistics division of the Allen Lund Company, ALC Logistics, has been announced as a New Product Award Finalist for United Fresh 2014. Each finalist will compete in one of five categories for the title which will be announced at the United Fresh show, June 10 - 13 in Chicago, Illinois.
Chetan Tandon, CIO of ALC, stated, "This product is unique and a gamechanger for the produce industry. We are so proud to be recognized for the innovations it brings."
Their selection as a finalist in the category of Best New Food Safety Solution was attributed to their newly developed produce-specific Transportation Management Software (TMS), according to a press release. This new product is designed and customized to fit the needs of the produce industry.
Tom Stenzel, United Fresh's president and CEO said, "New products like these are essential elements of the success of the fresh and fresh-cut produce industry."
