BAKERSFIELD, CA - As a continuation of grand opening celebrations for its new Bakersfield facility, Tasteful Selections hosted select food bloggers to get to know the Tasteful Selections’ family, tour the new facility, meet the inspirational 14-year-old Chef Jack Witherspoon, and cook alongside Michelin Star Chef Joey Elenterio.
After an action packed day of touring the new 200,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility, the bloggers were able to attend a private cooking session with award-winning Chef Elenterio. The bloggers learned to create an Everything Tasteful Selections Potatoes and Lox while Chef Elenterio dished the details on latest cooking trends and secret potato cooking techniques. Chef Elenterio has been a proud supporter of Tasteful Selections since 2011.
The bloggers also met with Tasteful Selections kid-chef partner Chef Jack Witherspoon who showed off his Warm Tasteful Selections Potato Salad with Corn and Bacon. This inspirational 14-year-old began cooking as a way to benefit cancer research at the age of 6 during recovery from leukemia. He has also received national attention for his incredible accomplishments and his book, Twist it Up, published in 2011.
