SAN BERNARDINO, CA - Seasoned retail veteran George Frahm has been promoted to President of Stater Bros. Markets, effective January 15, 2018. The supermarket executive takes on this latest leadership role after more than four decades with the company.
Having kicked off his career with the retailer in 1973, Frahm began as a clerk’s helper and janitor in a Stater Bros. supermarket in Glendora, California. He was promoted to Director of Labor Relations in 1995, and his upward climb included positions such as:
- Retail Grocery Supervisor
- Vice President Labor Relations
- Senior Vice President Administration
- Group Senior Vice President Retail Operations/Administration
- Executive Vice President Retail Operations/Administration
Prior to this latest to promotion, his most recent role was serving the company as Executive Vice President Administration/Distribution.
As President, Frahm will report directly to Stater Bros. Chief Executive Officer Pete Van Helden.

Currently, Stater Bros. operates 171 supermarkets throughout Southern California, including San Bernardino and Riverside counties, with approximately 18,000 members of the Stater Bros. family.
