FATE, TX - Brookshire Grocery’s expansion strategy is so fresh and so clean! The regional retailer has been working with a new format, dubbed FRESH by Brookshire, that puts fresh produce front and center. Soon citizens of Fate, Texas, will have their very own FRESH store as Brookshire announced a new 55,000-square-foot facility.
“We are so excited to be bringing the next generation of our incredible FRESH by Brookshire’s shopping experience to the community of Fate,” said Trent Brookshire, Chief Operating Officer. “FRESH is so much more than a store...We offer a remarkable shopping experience with all of the everyday staples you need but can’t always find. We find that kids, and especially their moms and dads, absolutely love the store for so many reasons. We are really looking forward to bringing it to the residents of Fate.”
According to Front Porch News, this is Brookshire’s second FRESH format store with the first debuting in Tyler, Texas, in 2011. Through fresh foodservice offerings and a dynamic produce department, these stores are sure to set a precedent for the Texas grocery market.

Brookshire’s grandfather, Wood T. Brookshire, opened the company’s first store in Tyler, Texas, in 1928. Now in its third and fourth generations of leadership and ownership, members of the Brookshire family have seen this business grow to new heights.
