According to Tempo.Co, the case was first revealed on September 3 at East Sumatra Highway, Ketapang, South Lampung, when the police stopped one of the trucks delivering 20 tons of vegetables to Jakarta, suspecting marijuana was tucked in among other items in the truck. Both couriers were ordered to deliver the marijuana to Jakarta.

In addition to the illicit substance, the police also seized one Toyota car, cellular phones of the perpetrators, and a sharp weapon kept in the vehicle, as pieces of evidence.

As criminals continue to utilize fresh produce as a vehicle for their illegal activities, AndNowUKnow applauds the officials working to protect our industry.
