Bowery Farming’s Katie Seawell Joins Teens for Food Justice’s Board of Directors; Katherine Soll Discusses

NEW YORK, NY - Historically, produce industry experts have been known for using their knowledge to do good in local communities, and Katie Seawell, Chief Commercial Officer at Bowery Farming, is joining the list. Recently, the executive was added to Teens for Food Justice’s (TFFJ) Board of Directors, where she will help drive the organization’s mission of making healthy, nutritious, and sustainably grown produce available to public school students in food deserts.

In her position at Bowery, Seawell spearheads efforts to build the organization’s commercial presence in new markets while growing business with existing customers. According to a press release, she drives market/channel strategy, product pipeline development, brand building, and the supplier’s go-to-market playbook.

Seawell also leads Bowery’s public policy and community impact work. She co-founded aGirlculture, a women’s development network at Bowery, and serves as the group’s executive sponsor.

Previously, Seawell spent 14 years at Starbucks, where she held a variety of senior leadership roles within brand, marketing, and product. She has led successful brand campaigns, developed complex go-to-market strategies and integrated marketing campaigns, and guided product innovation.
