NEW YORK - As technology continues to serve as the catalyst of innovation, D'Arrigo New York is stepping into the world of online ordering with its latest launch. The wholesaler has announced the debut of its new online ordering platform.
"We are excited to announce the official launch of our online ordering platform. We have spent the past several months running a soft launch of our program and are thrilled with the success we've seen to date," said Gabriela D'Arrigo, Vice President of Communications and Marketing. "So, today, we are making the platform available for all of our charge customers."
In the past, the company's customers would place orders face-to-face at the market, by calling a salesperson, or faxing an order, a release explained. Now, they can use the platform to order directly through its ProducePro system, where its entire product lineup can be found.
The two ways that orders can be placed online are through the web-based platform or a mobile app. Both ways offer new levels of convenience. Customers are also able to start an order online and then put in a call to a salesperson to add to it, ask questions about products, and negotiate pricing. The reverse is also a possibility, starting an order with a salesperson and finishing it online.
Additional tools within the system include the capability to print order reports, look up statements, and, in the future, pay invoices.
