NOGALES, AZ - Have no fear; Produce Heroes is here! For its second year, Divine Flavor is bringing back its popular campaign, this time featuring tomatoes. Attendees at the 2023 International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA) Global Produce & Floral show will get details about the campaign and the launch of the supplier's new website.

Michael DuPuis, Quality Assurance and Public Relations Manager, Divine Flavor"It's important for us as a produce brand to make the job easier for our buyers and retailers, and that's why we created our Produce Heroes campaign. We decided to start last year with bell peppers because of their high vitamin C content, giving retailers a strong selling point for the category and some creative ways to inform consumers," explains Michael DuPuis, Quality Assurance and Public Relations Manager. "But it's not just about having these cool, creative heroes; it's also a little nod to the retailers that they're the real heroes. They're the ones who are purchasing our product, and they're delivering healthy produce to their consumers."

Now, the provider is turning its tomatoes into superheroes, sharing the multitude of health benefits the category offers. For the campaign, Divine Flavor includes QR codes on the packaging so shoppers can scan it and get more information about tomatoes, including the vitamins and minerals found in the fruit, like lycopene, which supports a healthy immune system.

But the excitement from Divine Flavor doesn't end there. The supplier will also be discussing its new website at the event.

"This is something that we've been working on and putting a lot of strategy into just to make sure that it works for buyers and retailers," adds Michael. "Our Brand Manager, Luis Urbina, did a fantastic job assembling our website to appeal to both demographics when they want to get more information about our products, their health benefits, and what Divine Flavor stands for as a company. With this site, we can share our vision and story with everyone we associate with."
