CRANBERRY, PA - A new state-of-the-art corporate headquarters welcomed over 400 Giant Eagle employees as it opened its doors on April 11. Situated in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, the renovated operation features a slew of modern amenities.
“We are really happy to be here, we’re really happy to have everybody back together, and we’re really happy to continue to focus on how we can do a better job for the communities in which we operate, the customers that count on us, and our 36,000 team members,” said Chief Executive Officer Bill Artman in an interview with KDKA Radio.
The 100,000-square-foot building features an on-site gym, walking and jogging trails, and an on-site café, reporting from KDKA went on to detail.
The celebration included a ribbon-cutting ceremony and celebrated the conclusion of several months of preparation to create the modern work environment for Giant Eagle Team Members. Now, the more than 400 employees will begin returning to the office with a hybrid work schedule.
With this new headquarters in place, we wonder what it will mean for the retailer’s store expansions nationwide. The investment in a state-of-the-art hub could mean that the grocer is well on its way to further growth, providing more opportunities for suppliers in the produce department and beyond.
