KINGSVILLE, ON - Mastronardi Produce®, a leader in greenhouse-grown fresh produce, is proud to announce that its flagship SUNSET® brand has earned seven Superior Taste Award certifications. The honors celebrate the exceptional flavor of Campari® brand cocktail tomatoes, Angel Sweet® tomatoes, WOW® Dreamberry™ strawberries, Pop Its™ bite-sized cucumbers, Tomato Branch™ on-the-vine tomatoes, Flavor Bombs® on-the-vine tomatoes, and SUNSET® WOW® Joyberry™ blueberries.

The Superior Taste Award is a prestigious global certification that highlights delicious-tasting food and beverage products. Organized by the International Taste Institute, each submission is assessed for appearance, aroma, flavor, and texture by a panel of over 250 professional chefs and sommeliers from more than 20 countries.
This year's results mark a continued run of recognition for several SUNSET® favorites. Campari® brand cocktail tomatoes received its sixth Superior Taste Award, following previous consecutive wins in 2024 and 2025. Angel Sweet® tomatoes earned its fifth consecutive award (2022-2026), bringing its total to seven, and WOW® Dreamberry™ strawberries have been recognized for the third consecutive year (2024-2026), for five wins in all. Pop Its™ bite-sized cucumbers and Tomato Branch™ join the growing SUNSET® roster of products, both earning renowned accolades for outstanding flavor.




SAN MARCOS, CA - San Diego Farms (Fresh Origins® and BrightFresh® Microgreens) announced the appointment of Marc Oshima to Senior Vice President of Sales. Marc’s addition marks the latest step in the company's strategy to strengthen its Commercial Leadership Team as demand for premium microgreens, edible flowers, and culinary specialties continues to accelerate across food service and retail.
Reporting to CEO Greg Cyr, Oshima will lead the company's Sales strategy, deepening customer relationships and reinforcing San Diego Farms' spirit of excellence across its portfolio of brands. He joins at a pivotal moment in the company's growth, supporting a sharpened focus on quality, innovation, and category leadership.
"Marc brings a strong combination of passion and deep industry knowledge to San Diego Farms," said Cyr in the recent release. "His leadership will help us scale our brands thoughtfully and deliver even greater value to the customers and partners who count on us."
Oshima joins San Diego Farms with an extensive background spanning agriculture, food service, retail, and specialty food. He co-founded AeroFarms, one of the pioneers of vertical farming, where he helped shape the company's brand and commercial strategy, and most recently served as CEO of Babylon Micro-Farms, a global leader in on-site indoor farming.
Throughout his career, Oshima has worked closely with leading chefs, major food management companies, distributors, and top retailers, building long-standing relationships rooted in a shared commitment to quality and culinary innovation.
In his role as Senior Vice President of Sales, Oshima will lead the Sales organization, deepen strategic partnerships across foodservice and retail channels, and drive continued growth for the Fresh Origins® and BrightFresh® brands.
