KINGSVILLE, ON - The conversation around premium produce continues to broaden—and for Mastronardi Produce®, that means delivering freshness, flavor, and innovation across every category.
“We have several new products that we're launching this year,” said Geoff Kosar, Vice President of Marketing with Mastronardi Produce®. “The first new product is our Mastronardi™ Tomato Branch™. It's a very unique micro variety, really high brix level, sweet, great for charcuterie boards, and snacking. It's a very beautiful, unique shape—really almost looks like a teardrop. We recently launched it with a couple of different retailers in the east, and we're really excited to roll that out over the next couple of months.”
The Mastronardi Tomato Branch, already gaining traction with select partners, represents the company’s focus on flavor and visual appeal. That same innovation mindset extends into sustainability.
“We're really excited for our new Green Leaf Paper Bag with our Backyard Farms green leaf lettuce,” Kosar continued. “Super sustainable packaging uses 65 percent less plastic than everything else in the category. It's resealable. The zip top packaging helps keep the lettuce really fresh and long for up to 21 days, so it's great if you want to just grab a little bit and then put it back in your fridge and you have it for the next day.”
As consumer expectations evolve, so does the presentation of familiar favorites.
“We're really excited to unveil a brand refresh this year. The new top seal design. We have a new carrier that's going to be launching in 2026. We've really paid a lot of attention to calling out the key occasion for snacking tomatoes, which the number one use for consumers is salads, and so we have a call out right on the packaging: elevate your salads with Angel Sweet®,” Kosar explained.
Through every launch, Mastronardi Produce® continues to combine consumer insight, sustainability, and signature flavor into a unified vision for the future of fresh.

NEW YORK, NY - Flashfood, the leading affordable grocery app, has partnered with apparel brand Kids Worldwide to launch a limited-edition “Eat Well” Lunchbox, created in collaboration with The RIVER FUND, a New York City nonprofit. The partnership brings together food, fashion, art and community to enable healthier eating while supporting families across all five boroughs.
The Eat Well Lunchbox features fruit-and-veggie artwork designed by children who participated in a Flashfood x Kids Worldwide workshop at The RIVER FUND last summer. During the workshop, kids learned how to prepare simple, nutritious meals using Flashfood groceries, then transformed their ideas into the artwork now featured on the lunchboxes. Proceeds from sales directly benefit The RIVER FUND’s mission to fight poverty and food insecurity.
“Our collaboration with Kids Worldwide and The RIVER FUND enables Flashfood’s mission to extend beyond the grocery aisle,” said Jordan Schenck, CEO of Flashfood, in the recent release. “We have enormous admiration for the brand Kids Worldwide has built and for their mission to support families experiencing poverty. We hope this collaboration helps contribute fresh, affordable groceries to families in New York City and beyond and underlines the importance of nutrition education in building a healthier and more equitable planet.
“Our collaboration with Flashfood brings together two missions driven by purpose, tackling food insecurity and empowering youth,” said Robbie Kingsmill Stuart, Founder, Kids Worldwide. “Access to nutritious food is essential to breaking the cycle of poverty, and through this partnership and the workshop we did we’re helping kids learn about healthy eating and smart grocery shopping. The custom lunch box featuring joyful artwork created by the youth is both a symbol of creativity and a reminder that every child deserves nourishment and happiness. We’re so proud of this collaboration and inspired by the imagination and color the kids brought to life.”
The launch reflects Flashfood’s ongoing commitment to making healthy groceries accessible and affordable while reducing food waste. To date, Flashfood has diverted more than 145 million pounds of food from landfills and saved shoppers more than $370 million on groceries across North America.
The Eat Well Lunchbox is available now at www.kidsworldwide.shop for $38, with proceeds benefiting The RIVER FUND. For more information visit www.flashfood.com.
