<p> The Allen Lund Company is partnering with Verbum Dei High School for the seventh consecutive year as a sponsor of the Verbum Dei Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP), an award winning partnership between business, educators, and the students of Verbum Dei, according to a press release.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Four students, Sophomore Mark Palmer, Junior Zahid Ruiz, and Freshmen Anthony Rivera and Angel Diaz, will be working at Allen Lund Company headquarters in Los Angeles during the 2013-2014 academic year. Each student works five full days a month on a rotational basis at the company, gaining experience within marketing, carrier resources, human resources, and sales departments, while carrying a full academic load.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> “Being a part of the corporate work study program with Verbum Dei is rewarding in so many ways,” said Carrie Petersen, Assistant Manager of Human Resources. “These young men gain valuable work experience and are treated just like our regular employees, becoming a part of the Allen Lund Company family. Throughout the year we enjoy getting to know the students, sharing in their academic achievements, supporting challenges any way we can and watching proudly as they receive their diplomas at graduation.
