This upcoming February is Apple Month and in BC Tree Fruits' backyard this year is proving to be extra special as it also marks the 75th Anniversary of the Apple! A nation wide contest called the Artful Apple is marking the milestone asking apple lovers to play with their fruit. BC will choose the top three most artful apple creations from across Canada at the end of February presenting awards that include the grand prize of a family trip for 4 to the Okanagan, as well as Apple products like the new IPAD 2. In-store promotions and sampling will also be bringing the delicious locally grown fruit, to pallettes across the country. Mr. DeVries has plenty of experience under his belt, serving as the District 1 Commissioner and on the Commission’s Executive Committee for the past three years. Lane DeVries states, “It is an honor to have been elected by my peers to serve our industry in this capacity."
