<p>The first ever BC Veggie Day is coming next week! The BC Greenhouse Growers’ Association is celebrating the annual springtime arrival of locally greenhouse veggies from British Columbia’s 42 Greenhouse Growers throughout the Lower Mainland. It’s going to be a jam-packed week, so take a look at some of the fun events in store…</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p> On March 20th, guests will be able to mingle with greenhouse growers from <B>Houweling’s Tomatoes, Windset Farms, Village Farms, SunSelect Produce, Atwal Farms</b>, and more at the Vancouver Art Gallery north plaza from 11 am to 2 pm. There will be a pop-up greenhouse filled with plants and ‘good’ bugs from the Bug Factory, a farmer’s market, live entertainment by emcee Prevail from Swollen Members and the 7 member Vince Vaccaro Band, a first ever pop-up restaurant by Earls Kitchen + Bar and food trucks Verinicey Pankoras and Mangal Kiss, according to the BC Greenhouse Growers’ Association’s website. </p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p><iframe width="500" height="281" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/lmYQ-HakBug" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p> Throughout the week guests will also get the chance to sample some of the best and newest greenhouse offerings from Earls Kitchen + Bar at its Hornby, Yaletown, North Van, and Bridge Park locations. Try out the new Mediterranean Quinoa Salad, which features locally sourced greenhouse cucumbers, or some of the other special veggie samplers! All Earls’ sandwiches and burgers come with fresh Windset Farms tomatoes straight from Delta, BC.
