<p>The California Grape & Tree Fruit League has elected David Jackson as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the 2014-15 fiscal year, according to The Business Journal. Jackson is the President of Family Tree Farms in Reedley, CA.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><img class="small-cropped-image" src="https://cdn.andnowuknow.com/legacySmallCroppedImages/mcclarty_crop.jpg" alt="cropped_Image_032814" /><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Also, Harold McClarty, President of HMC Farms, was elected as First Vice Chair.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Officers are nominated to serve for one-year terms, and are selected by the previous board chairs. The Board of Directors is comprised of 50 people from operations in California.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">The election was held at the League's annual Membership Meeting in Ojai on 3/25/2014. The event also involved the election of the new board of directors, as well as the honoring of George Soares, Managing Partner of Kahn Soares & Conway LLP, with the prestigious mentor's award.
