CAPCO Farms and Central American Produce Join Eat Brighter!™ Campaign
- by Laura Hillen
POMPANO BEACH, FL – Looking to capture the eye of the industry’s youngest consumers, Central American Produce and CAPCO Farms have announced its partnership with the eat brighter!™ campaign.
“Helping young people is one of the core values of our company, so we want to inspire kids to eat more fresh fruits and vegetables,” said Michael Warren, company President. “If children learn to eat healthier, they are more likely to continue that behavior into adulthood. And in my personal experience, most children who try mangos just love them.”
The company will ship its CAPCO Farms mangos from Mexico adorned with the eat brighter!™ label, featuring popular Sesame Street characters. These labels were cultivated by the campaign to encourage kids from ages 2-5 to eat more fruits and vegetables, as stated in a recent press release.
Eat brighter!™ works with the Partnership for a Healthy America (PHA) Honorary Chair First Lady Michelle Obama, and the private sector to help end childhood obesity. The campaign is a collaboration between the Sesame Workshop and Produce Marketing Association, and commissioned by PHA.
