CMI is gearing up to open its Baker Flats Facility, slated to begin operations in Fall of 2013 for storing and shipping of fruit with packing lines to go online in May of 2014. This facility aligns with CMI's vision to make packing more efficient which in return would offer immeasurable benefits for CMI customers. At the closing of phase one there will be three buildings with 24 rooms and a capacity for 45,000 bins of Control Atmosphere fruit. President, Bob Mast, tells AndNowUKnow, "Baker Flats will offer the flexibility to fill multiple packaging types and to do so quickly and with quality care every step of the way. The mere size of this facility will allow for consolidation of multiple shipments for customers so that trucks can make fewer stops and getting the fruit on the shelves as quickly as possible."<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Railex USA is offering customers green transportation solutions, as an approved SmartWay Transport Partner.
