<p>The Edinburg Citrus Association is welcoming a healthy growth spurt. Since the group has expanded its acreage, Edinburg is expecting a 30% increase in tonnage during the coming year. Having increased acreage itself by 35% means that ECA will be better able to better meet the demands of its customers. </p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>The Association continues to welcome the growers knocking on the door that are interested in joining the team, but ECA tells us, its is remaining very selective in the process. Along with new grower partnerships, the group has been planning for the future by planting more of its own acreage which will be producing in the next few years.</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>The company has also streamlined its production and shipping by adding automated packing machines and new procedures in order to better serve its customers.
