Florida Strawberry Volumes Could Bounce Back by Valentine's Day

<p>It’s warmer temperatures in store for Florida’s strawberry growing regions as we transition into February. Recent cold fronts moving through the state have caused a decrease in strawberry production by about 25%, but Florida growers tell us that warmer temperatures slated to move into the state on Saturday could help volumes bounce back.</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>Currently the Plant City, Florida region is experiencing temps in the low 40’s with small bouts of rain, but nothing extreme enough in nature to harm the crop, we are told. The first week of February will see warmer weather in the high 70’s and into the 80’s which growers hope will provide a bumper crop right before Valentine’s Day.</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>Will the warm weather hold for the highly demanded Valentine’s Day favorite?
