CORAL GABLES, FL - As one-seventh of a dynamic, all-women editorial team, I am no stranger to the magic that women can make in this industry and valiant leaders they can be. Fresh Del Monte Produce knows this well, as the purveyor has recently appointed two brilliant new leaders to its Board of Directors, Lori Tauber Marcus and Kristin Colber-Baker.
Marcus currently serves as the Principal of Courtyard Connections, an advisory firm focused on marketing and leadership in consumer-facing sectors, according to a press release. She is also an executive coach to C-suite and high-potential executives and holds positions on several public, private, and non-profit boards, in addition to serving on advisory boards of early-stage companies.
Marcus has vast expertise in digital marketing, social media, and direct-to-consumer e-commerce, and brings a deep understanding of evolving consumer trends and growing businesses. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
The other esteemed member joining Fresh Del Monte’s Board is Colber-Baker, who is currently the Global Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Mars, Inc. Colber-Baker is a qualified audit committee financial expert, and brings over 25 years of experience in global finance, mergers and acquisitions, human capital, and company culture.
Colber-Baker obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wheaton College and a Master of Business Administration degree from The Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.
“We are pleased to welcome both Lori and Kristin to Fresh Del Monte’s growing and diverse Board of Directors,” said Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Mohammad Abu-Ghazaleh. “Each of them holds valuable expertise and varied skills from impressive career pathways that will help strengthen our long-term vision and business goals as a leading global supplier worldwide.”
With the addition of these two talented leaders, women now make up 38 percent of Fresh Del Monte Produce’s Board of Directors, holding 3 of the 8 seats on the Board, as explained in the release.
Congratulations to both Lori Tauber Marcus and Kristin Colber-Baker as they take these exciting next steps in their decorated careers!
