Georgia Peach Council is gearing up for "Georgia in July." Beginning the week after the 4th, peaches will be at peak volume and will continue through the month. Retailers can prepare now with "Georgia in July" tool boxes to bring the fruits’ enticing flavor and versatility to produce departments. Will McGehee, Marketing Director, tells AndNowUKnow, "The free stones are here, and as the month gets underway, retailers can tap in the demand for this much loved fruit. We have worked hard to create a brand around our Georgia peaches that consumers have grown to love."<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Earth Fresh’s 2013 Ontario potato crop is off to a great start. Despite a cool, wet spring that set the deal back by at least two weeks, the crops are looking great. The crop has responded well to recent cool nights, warm days, and ample rain. Currently, the largest potatoes are about the size of a ping pong ball and are growing fast. Stephanie Cutaia, Marketing Manager, tells AndNowUKnow, “We hope to have our earliest crops ready for our customers by the end of July or early August - we are looking forward to promoting our local farmers!<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">
