New Zealand-grown cherries and apricots are now arriving to the U.S. from Giumarra Southern Hemisphere. The fruit is grown in Central Otago and air freighted to the West Coast. Favorable weather throughout the growing season resulted in superb quality and condition this year. Apricots are hitting the states in single layer, 3 kg boxes, starting with Sun Drops and moving into the Vulcan and Kalutha Gold varieties. Cherries are offered in 5 kg bulk pack boxes and are currently presenting large size, dark red color, and great eating quality. Craig Uchizono, Vice President Southern Hemisphere, tells AndNowUKnow, "We think consumers will love this fruit due to its outstanding size and flavor. There's a very bright future for these up-and-coming commodities entering into the U.S. market."<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Love Beets has expanded its distribution footprint and is now available on the U.S. West Coast!
