<p> Great West Produce is welcoming produce industry veteran Todd Smith to the sales team.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Todd began his career working in the warehouse for G&G Produce. Over the next 28 years, he worked as a produce buyer and specialist for a large broadline foodservice company, an FOB buyer, warehouse manager, purchasing VP for a small foodservice distributor, an FOB salesman, and an independent retail chain store produce buyer, according to a press release. Most recently, he worked as a commodity manager at Valley Fruit & Produce on the LA Produce Market.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">In regards to his years of experience, Todd says he is able to approach every relationship and transaction from a position of having experienced the challenges each facet of the industry faces. “I think it helps me to be empathetic not only with the customer, but with the shipper, the freight company, the driver, the receiver. Everyone at every step in the process, because I have lived it,” he continued.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Paul Villa, CEO, said, “We are very excited to have Todd on our sales team.
