Green Giant Fresh is making QR codes smarter. The company is connecting consumers to the farm and making traceability information more relevant to consumers. When the consumer scans the QR code on 8oz trays of sweet baby broccoli and shrink wrap broccoli, they are immediately connected to the farm where the produce was grown, the grower, product information, as well as handling tips and recipes for preparing the fresh veggies. Jennifer Fancher, Director of Marketing, tells AndNowUKnow, "We are excited to connect our consumers to the farm and help them learn more about their fresh produce using our innovative QR platform on their mobile devices."<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Atlas Produce will be kicking off harvest on its Medjool dates in the first week of September with the season continuing for the next eight<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">weeks.
