LA CAÑADA FLINTRIDGE, CA - Since Allen Lund Company’s Scott Fletcher passed at the end of 2023, his absence has been keenly felt. A man known just as much for his indomitable passion as his warm smile, we’re happy to report that his memory lives on. At this year’s Viva Fresh Expo, Texas International Produce Association honored the memory of Scott Fletcher and the lasting impact the longtime General Manager of the Dallas, Texas, office had.
Several members of the ALC team spoke about Scott during a special remembrance at Viva Fresh. They celebrated his accomplishments and how he came to achieve them. His loyalty, grit, and his all-in, go-big-or-go-home spirit defined Scott’s approach to life and leadership.
A driving force in Scott’s life was his legacy and the drive to achieve it. As Allen Lund Company noted, his true legacy could not be defined by his accomplishments alone, but rather in the unforgettable way he made people feel. Once you met Scott, you never forgot him.
He was recognized by ALC as the 2021 Allen Lund Legacy Award honoree, a distinction conferred by the employees and executives of ALC for his commitment to the company and to the community.
Scott had been out of the industry for a year and a half at the time of his passing, but that hasn’t stopped his influence from resonating across the produce and transportation community.
To further honor Scott’s life, ALC announced a scholarship named in his honor—an enduring tribute to a man who gave so much to this industry and those lucky enough to have known him.
