IFCO is presenting its RPC Wrap program - a part of the Fresh Market Advantage™ merchandising solutions initiative, developed to increase fresh produce sales for RPC users. The Wraps, in particular, are gaining widespread acceptance. More than 2,000 Wraps are in production for the Chilean Avocado Importers Association and will be on display in four different retailers' stores for the holiday season. Hillary Femal, IFCO's Vice President, Global Marketing, tells AndNowUKnow, "Retailers understand using RPC Wraps for in-store displays increases the appeal for consumers - and that's increasing sales. In addition, the Wraps are a snap to install and store for next season."

For Lipman, sustainability is key and this year the company is taking extra steps to align its business with this philosophy. With practices in three pillars -reduction, optimization and replenishment, the company is reusing, recycling and preserving the land for future generations. One of these practices comes through research and development of proprietary varieties like the company's new Crimson Queen tomato which goes into full production this year. Justin Roberson, Manager of Production Systems and Sustainability, tells AndNowUKnow, "With this variety, Lipman has found a balance of maximizing the crop’s output and minimizing the impact on the land, while significantly improving the overall flavor and quality of the fruit. We breed plants that are not only nutrient-rich and delicious, but also sustainable."
