Index Fresh is welcoming Bailey Diloia to its Field Staff in California. In his new role, Bailey will be working with Gary Nichols to serve Ventura County growers. Giovanni Cavaletto, Vice President of Operations for Index Fresh, recently made the announcement about Index’s growing family.

The new Index Fresh team member Bailey, stated, “Index has been around for a hundred (100) years and it’s great to be a part of that legacy. This is a company where the Board Members are farmers. They understand grower issues. I’m looking forward to meeting growers in Ventura County.”

Bailey has a BA in Communications from Sacramento State University and a degree in Horticulture from American River College, according to a press release. Bailey turned his focus to agriculture after he injured his arm playing baseball for Sacramento State. He liked plants so he took an internship in the cut flower industry in Carpinteria, California. He had also helped manage a small grove on his parents’ property, so he knew his future was somewhere between avocados and cut flowers.

During a four month internship with cut flowers in El Salvador and Guatemala, DiIoia lived with a family that had a small grove, and studied Spanish in a language immersion program. His first job opportunity with avocados came in Carpinteria where he worked for a farm manager and connected with Index Fresh.

Congrats Bailey, on joining the Index Fresh team!

<a class="btn btn-sm btn-primary col-lg-12" style="white-space: normal;" href=” http://www.indexfresh.com/" target="_new"> Index Fresh by AvoTerra
