Scott began his career at Safeway, where he immersed himself in nearly every facet of retail operations—from procurement to merchandising. His time there built not just his technical knowledge of distribution centers and supply chains, but also his reputation for practical wisdom and steady leadership. Those same qualities served him well when he joined Target in 2015 as Vice President of Perishables, helping to strengthen the retailer’s focus on fresh foods.
