<p>Kroger, a Cincinnati based supermarket operator, has opened a new store in Amelia, Ohio that’s supersizing its usual store model. This 133,000 square foot marketplace is one of two new mega stores this month. </p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>These two new stores tie for the second-largest store in the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky-Dayton region and are among the largest Krogers in the country. The Kroger Marketplace store in Centerville, at 147,000 square feet, is the nation’s largest Kroger store.</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>“The bigger the store, the more variety we can offer the customer,” said Amelia store manager Bob Boland.</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>The new Amelia store offers everything from fresh sushi to a bistro section that sells a selection of prepared meals to go. There’s an indoor Starbucks and a beer and wine section with a staging area for future tasting events. It's even complete with a drive-thru pharmacy and a Little Clinic medical care center as well as a Fred Meyer Jewelers.</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>Sharen Ernst, a 67-year-old retired school treasurer is more than pleased with the new variety the Amelia store offers. “This is a fantastic store, the variety is incredible,” she said. “Now, when you go to the grocery store, you also go to the hardware and other stores, it's like Main Street.”</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>This new and unique, food-focused super center is just one in a trend of larger stores that are opening nationwide. </p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p><a class="btn btn-sm btn-primary col-lg-12" style="white-space: normal;" href="http://www.kroger.com/Pages/default.aspx" target="_new"> Kroger </a></p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">
