Late Spring Frost Affects Crop Volumes in the Okanagan Valley

<p>Okanagan Valley orchards may see a bit of a lighter crop than usual as harvest gets underway on much of the areas tree fruit. Lighter crops this year come in the wake of a chilly Spring, when April temperatures dropped as low as - 4 degrees Celsius or 24 degrees Fahrenheit in some areas.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Orchards in the Southeast region of the valley, notably in Oliver and Osoyoos, took the brunt of the frost damage. Crops in the affected areas include cherries, peaches, nectarines, and apricots.
