Lipman recently gave away more than 700 backpacks filled with school supplies at the Sheriff’s Department’s National Night Out in Immokalee, Florida. This is just one of the many gestures performed by Lipman that have earned the company Agri-business Partner of the Year. Now, rolling into Fall, the grower has the goal of planning a community service project at each of its 20 locations across the country. The projects will focus on kids and learning and aim to foster the next generation of great produce professionals. This year’s volumes will be good with increased acreage planted versus the previous year. President Ken Nabal, tells AndNowUKnow, “We are always excited when new crop potatoes start here in Idaho. It’s a big deal here in the state and our community.
