Naturipe Farms has entered peak season on the season's California strawberries. The company is currently harvesting out of Irvine, Oxnard, and Santa Maria, where it is predominantly growing its proprietary 1975 variety. Naturipe has also started in Salinas and Watsonville, where it has a mix of Monterey and Albion varieties. 2lb clamshells are the primary pack size during this peak season of strawberries, with 3 and 4lb clamshells offering a great way to move volume. Kyla Garnett . Marketing Manager, tells AndNowUKnow, "Our strawberries could not be better right now! Quality is excellent, size is very large, and with record weeks to come. Retailers should provide their customers with a complete selection of strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries. Research has shown a broader lift throughout the category when carrying multiple SKU’s."<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Cecelia Packing is picking up momentum on its Cara Cara Pink Navel Oranges. The fruit offers a rich pink interior with a crisp citrus aroma and a flavor profile that presents subtle, sweet raspberry-like undertones. The unique color of the Cara Cara is due to Lycopene, a natural pigment with antioxidant qualities. Sales Manager, Randy Jacobson, tells AndNowUKnow, “This is one of the best tasting Cara Caras we’ve seen in 15 years of growing, packing, and marketing the fruit.” The company also offers individual retailers custom programs that include season long pricing and promotional pricing.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">
