LOS ANGELES, CA - With its JAM Grapes campaign experiencing a taste of success last season, Pacific Trellis Fruit has returned this year with a host of new programs to further bolster the exclusive black seedless variety.

Josh Leichter, Chief Executive Officer, Pacific Trellis Fruit/Dulcinea Farms®“JAM grapes deliver that jam flavor taste and are similar to the Concord variety in flavor and appearance; however, they are 100 percent seedless and have thinner skin,” said Josh Leichter, Chief Executive Officer of Pacific Trellis Fruit. “They have been very well received by the industry since their introduction as a way to capture incremental sales opportunities in the table grape category, and we are very excited to offer this program to our customers.”

Grown only in Brazil, the JAM variety is currently available in the United States from October to February and then again in March through May, a release explained. With the right weather conditions, there is also the possibility of year-round availability.

“We are always looking at ways to extend the market window, and because of Brazil’s unique location along the equator, they have the ability to harvest two commercial crops per year,” added Leichter.

Pacific Trellis Fruit is providing JAM grapes in 10/1 lb clamshells. They are part of a line of 1 lb specialty varieties, including Cotton Candy, Candy Snaps, Candy Dreams, and Candy Hearts, all of which are sold under the Premium Dulcinea® brand.
